Two different products under one name
A team tracksuit and a streetwear tracksuit share a name and very little else. Being clear which you are ordering saves a sampling round.
A team tracksuit is a technical garment: lightweight polyester, a close or regular fit, club branding, and often ankle zips so it can be pulled on over boots. It is bought in a size run for a squad and priced per set. A streetwear tracksuit is a fashion garment: heavier fabric, a deliberate oversized or relaxed silhouette, considered trims, and branding that is the point of the piece rather than an identifier on it.

The jacket
Most decisions on a tracksuit sit in the jacket. The collar is the largest of them — a stand collar, a funnel collar and a hooded jacket each produce a different garment from the same fabric and the same body pattern.

The pants

Leg opening and inseam should be given as measurements. "Tapered" covers a very wide range and is the single most common cause of a second sample on a tracksuit order.
Fabric
Fabric decides which of the two products you end up with more than any other choice.
- Lightweight polyester tricot and interlock for team suits
- Nylon and poly shell fabrics for windbreaker sets, lined or unlined
- French terry and fleece for heavier streetwear sets
- Velour and cotton-rich blends for fashion pieces
- Polyester–elastane where stretch is required
Branding
Decoration depends on the fabric. Embroidery sits well on terry, fleece and heavier polyester, and is the usual choice for a club crest on a presentation jacket. On lightweight nylon shell fabric, embroidery perforates the face and can compromise a water-resistant finish, so heat transfer or print is generally the better answer — we will say so when quoting rather than after sampling.
Sublimation works on polyester and allows all-over panel designs and gradients. Screen printing suits flat spot-colour artwork on cotton-rich sets. Woven labels, custom zipper pullers and printed drawcord tips are all available and are what make a set read as a finished brand product rather than a decorated blank.

Frequently asked questions
- Can you make oversized streetwear tracksuits?
- Yes. Oversized covers a wide range, so send a reference garment or a measurement chart rather than a description — the drop of the shoulder and the body length are what define the silhouette.
- Can the jacket and pants be different fabrics?
- Yes, though matching colour across two different fabrics is harder than within one. If you want a shell jacket with terry pants, plan colour matching into sampling rather than assuming it.
- Can you embroider on nylon shell fabric?
- It is possible but usually not advisable — embroidery perforates the face and can compromise a water-resistant finish. Heat transfer or print is generally the better choice, and we will flag it at quotation.
- Do you offer ankle zips?
- Yes. They are common on team tracksuits so the pants pull on over boots. Specify zip length and whether you want a contrast or matching tape.
- Can you produce team tracksuits with individual names?
- Yes. Personalisation runs the same way as on a kit: one design across a mixed size run with individual names, usually heat-applied or embroidered depending on the fabric.
